  5. 1280x1024 16 color mode

  8. In order to use the 1280x1024 16 color driver, the monitor setting must be
  9. set first by using the CLMODE program. See your user manual to install the 
  10. Boca Research utilites, which includes the CLMODE program.

  12. To enable the monitor setting so that 1280x1024 driver can be used, type
  13. the following while in DOS:
  14.  
  15. CLMODE 3 m5
  16.  
  17. followed by ENTER. This will enable the video bios to allow the 1280x1024
  18. mode. See the Utility Software section in your user's manual.

  21. Additional Windows Utilities
  22. ----------------------------

  24. Included on this driver disk are two utitilies, INSTALL and SETRES. These 
  25. utilities are Windows programs.
  26.  
  27. INSTALL will install the Boca SuperVGA drivers, and install the SETRES
  28. program into Windows. In this manner, INSTALL is a replacement for 
  29. Windows SETUP.

  31. INSTALL must be run from Windows. Insert the Boca Research SuperVGA driver 
  32. disk 2 into your floppy drive. From File Manager, select File and then Run.
  33. Windows will prompt you for the name of a program to run. Type A:INSTALL 
  34. (or B:, depending) and hit ENTER. This will run the INSTALL program which will
  35. install the SuperVGA drivers and a program called SETRES in its own 
  36. application group called VGA Utilites.

  38. SETRES is a program that allows you to select the resolution and number of
  39. colors for your Windows screen. To use SETRES, simply open up the 
  40. program group VGA Utilities, and then double click on SETRES.

  42. The SETRES program will display a dialog box that has the valid choices for
  43. the resolution/colors for your Boca SuperVGA. To change resolutions, choose
  44. the combination you prefer, and select OK. This will cause Windows to restart
  45. in the resolution that you selected. For more information about SETRES, 
  46. select the Help option.
